Leanne Coombes Set for State Title Shot at ‘Total Havoc 5′

Written by southernmartialarts. Posted in News

Local Kickboxer Leanne Coombes remains undefeated after a dominating win over Linda Sing (Performance Gym – Darwin) in Newcastle last Saturday night, 17th Feb.

Linda was also undefeated coming into this fight, and fought well. However she could not counter the supreme fitness, technique, and strength of Leanne who dominated the fight to win by a unanimous judge’s decision.

Leanne’s record now stands at 4 fights for 4 wins and has qualified her to fight for a State Muay Thai title at ‘TOTAL HAVOC 5′, Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, 10th March 2012.

Leanne is already matched for this fight against Mangaia Tofilau, from Kiezen Muay Thai in Melbourne. Mangaia is a very strong girl with more fight experience than Leanne (7 fights, 4 wins & 3 losses).

Leanne’s trainer Richard Neradil from Southern Martial Arts Centre in Bomaderry, is confident Leanne will win this fight.

I’ve never seen Leanne this focused and confident. She is moving so well, training every day with the guys, and sparring some big boys as well. It will be a tough fight no doubt, but that’s what we would expect for a State Title fight. Sy Nadgi from Kiezen Muay Thai is very traditional (technical) trainer and always produces great fighters.

Leanne would like to thank her fans, and sponsors – Vitamin Select & Replace it clothing, for their ongoing support.

There will be 2 other Title fights on the night featuring two local favourites. Chad McGillick will be defending his Interstate title against Gary Dowling from Melbourne, and Brad Trainer (current State & East Coast Title holder) will be going for an Australian Muay Thai title against big gun Mark Lucchiari, from Strike Force gym in QLD. Mark is the current WMC Australian Champion.

There will be 9 local fighters competing from Bomaderry alone, for the full fight card go to: www.southernfightpromotions.com.au
